Hollywood Racks Express Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2017 Hyundai Elantra- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Hyundai Elantra we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Rack's Express Three Bike Carrier, part number HRE3.Now this is a very economical bike rack and what I mean by that is that if you're just looking for a bike rack to get you from point A to point B with your bikes this is going to be great for you. However, if you're more of an avid cyclist, I would suggest maybe doing a little bit more research and trying to find a bike rack with a little bit more bells and whistles.Let's go into the bike rack itself, we see we have cradles that can pivot left and right, and that can also move up and down the rack to accommodate any spacing between bikes you might want. We have two different points of contact where our bike is secured. We have these nice rubber straps that are securing the top frame of our bike into the cradles. I do want to point out because we don't have any type of anti-sway or anti-rattle cradle in place, our bike can move freely when we're driving and with it sitting pretty close to the vehicle, so you do want to be aware that it could make contact like this pedal right here is pretty close to our license plate, and we also have our front wheel up here that's pretty close to making contact. However, to fix this problem you could purchase a wheel shock separately at etrailer.com and just secure the front wheel to that.Let's go ahead and remove the bike. more

As you can see, we have a bike in stow, so let's take a closer look and show off some of the features.Now on this arm, we're gonna have an integrated cable lock system, which comes like I said, out of this arm of the bike rack, back around the frame of the second bike you have installed, and inserts on that notch right there.You will get a set of keys for your cable lock, so you can insert your key in there, unlock your cable, and then you can unload your bike.On our other arm, we're gonna have a bottle opener, which Yakima likes to put on all their bike racks.We look at these cradles, we're gonna see they are stationary, but they do have this nice rubber TPE padding, which you can see these notches right there, that's gonna act as a shock absorber for the frame of your bike while your traveling. It's gonna help it protect it from any type of damage.Our bike's secured at three different points of contact. We have two zip strips on the top of our bike frame. Then we have a zip strip down here, securing this part of our frame into the anti-rattle cradle. Once that's secured, that's going to prevent our bike from shaking too much, while we're traveling. more

Let's take a closer look here. Starting with our arms, at both arms we do have the bottle openers, which is pretty common with most Yakima bike racks. While the cradles are stationary, they do have the SuperCush material both at the base and at the top where the ZipStrip meets your frame to make sure that everything is not scratched up or marred up once it's being installed. It does have an anti-sway cradle which can be folded up out of the way to make loading and unloading the bikes much easier. more

Today on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Archway XT 2-Bike Rack. Part number TH9009XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first feature I'd like to show off is the fact that it has an integrated cable lock. You'll pull this out, wrap it around your bikes, and attach it to this point here to secure your bikes to the bike rack. The cradles are adjustable to accommodate loading. There's one thing you should note before we actually show you how we strap it down and everything is that we are using a tire strap here. That is because if we don't have the strap we are going to make contact from our handlebars onto our vehicle. If you have handlebars like this or even wider ones, you would want to purchase that strap just so your bike doesn't hit your vehicle. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side. That's going to serve as an anti-swing strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take that off and set it aside. With the bike removed and the bike rack in this position, which it is a fixed position so the arms do not fold down, measuring from the bumper we've added about 20 inches to the rear of the vehicle. Now how this is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have six points of contact. We're going to have two rubber-coated hooks up here at the top, two to the side just above the taillight, and then two at the base of the trunk as well. more

Thule Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata TH9001PRO- Video
Today on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata we're doing a test fit of the Thule Raceway Pro Trunk Mount Bike Rack. This is a 2 bike rack with part number TH9001PRO. We already have our bike secured down. First going to show you how we do that. Then we'll go over some more features. We have 2 cradles in place with 3 straps, 2 on our frame and one as our anti-sway strap here in the back. more

Saris Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2013 Hyundai Sonata- Video
Today, on our 2013 Hyundai Sonata, we're doing a test fit of the Saris Bones Trunk Mount Bike Rack. This is a 3-bike rack, and the part number for that is SA802. Now, We already have our bike secured down; we're first going to show you how we do that. We have 3 straps altogether, 2 cradles, we've got 2 straps on the top and 1 strap at the bottom that's going to be our anti-sway strap. You start by releasing those .. Then, we can take our bike off of our rack and set it off to the side. more

We have 2 up top, we have 1 to the side, we call it our anti-sway strap. We're going to go ahead and take the 2 off top first, push in the lever and just pushing them out, like so. Do the same thing here, just push in the lever here, just pushing them out. more
